Chocolate Mint

Artisan chocolates made with Belgian couverture and quality ingredients

About Chocolate Mint

Chocolate Mint have been making artisan chocolates using Belgian couverture and quality ingredients since 2007. In this time our talented mother-daughter team have won many awards, and undertaken training with talented European chocolatiers. In 2015 we closed our storefront, and now concentrate on festivals and online orders for both personal and corporate clients.

Corporate Chocolate Gifts

From small thank you gifts to luxury hampers, we can tailor something special for your guests or clients. Minimum order quantities apply for smaller boxes of 2-6 chocolates.

Treat Yourself

Brittles, nougats, ginger and strawberries

Something delicious to enjoy with coffee or a dessert wine – award winning peanut or macadamia brittle, both plain and chocolate dipped, tender pieces of Buderim ginger dipped in Callebaut dark chocolate, delicious handmade nougat – cranberry and white chocolate, chocolate and hazelnut, coffee and pistachio, all made with freshly roasted nuts and honey, or crispy chocolate dipped freeze-dried strawberries.

Special Occasions

Delight your friends and family with beautifully packaged gifts appropriate to the season.

Some guidelines for pairing chocolate and wine.

Match lighter wines with lighter, more subtle flavoured chocolates, and stronger flavoured dark chocolates with the richer more full bodied wines. Avoid pairing an acidic wine with an acidic chocolate. Aim to complement the flavours in the wine and chocolate rather than matching similar flavours.

Start with plain chocolate before adding the complexities of filled chocolates.

Tasting Chocolate

Look for a shiny, smooth surface, free from imperfections. It should make a sharp snap when broken, and should feel smooth to the touch. To appreciate the full flavour chocolate should be at room temperature. Before eating take in the aromas, which may be fruity, herbaceous or flowery. When you put it in your mouth let it melt slowly and enjoy the smooth texture and the flavour – sweet, semi-sweet, bitter, or bittersweet?
